A Giambelli Formula for Even Orthogonal Grassmannians
Let X be an orthogonal Grassmannian parametrizing isotropic subspaces in an even dimensional vector space equipped with a nondegenerate symmetric form. We prove a Giambelli formula which expresses an arbitrary Schubert class in the classical and quantum cohomology ring of X as a polynomial in certain special Schubert classes. Our analysis reveals a surprising relation between the Schubert calcu...
متن کاملConvolution Dirichlet Series and a Kronecker Limit Formula for Second-order Eisenstein Series
In this article we derive analytic and Fourier aspects of a Kronecker limit formula for second-order Eisenstein series. Let Γ be any Fuchsian group of the first kind which acts on the hyperbolic upper half-space H such that the quotient Γ\H has finite volume yet is non-compact. Associated to each cusp of Γ\H, there is a classically studied first-order non-holomorphic Eisenstein series E(s, z) w...
متن کاملA Single Formula for Integer Powers of Certain Real Circulant Matrix of Odd and Even Order
In this paper, we derive a single formula for the entries of the rth (r ∈ N) power of a certain real circulant matrix of odd and even order, in terms of the Chebyshev polynomials of the first and second kind. In addition, we give two Maple 13 procedures along with some numerical examples in order to verify our calculation.
متن کاملOn Even and Harmonic-Even Partial Cubes
Fukuda and Handa [7] asked whether every even partial cube G is harmonic-even. It is shown that the answer is positive if the isometric dimension of G equals its diameter which is in turn true for partial cubes with isometric dimension at most 6. Under an additional technical condition it is proved that an even partial cube G is harmonic-even or has two adjacent vertices whose diametrical verti...
متن کاملPoisson Formula for Resonances in Even Dimensions
1. Introduction We consider scattering by an abstract compactly supported perturbation in R n. To include the traditional cases of potential, obstacle and metric scattering without going into their particular nature we adopt the \black box" formalism developed jointly with Sjj ostrand 23]. It is quite likely that one could extend the results presented here to the case of non-compactly supported...
